Force Majeure

The three basic elements to story are Objective, Obstacle and Ticking Clock. The later refers to an unstoppable event that forces the story to continue forward to its conclusion. This can be something as obvious as the timer on a bomb, or as subtle as someone’s temper threatening to explode.
